Project 1a
For this project, we were tasked with the challenge of creating a composition that displayed a strong sense of contrast between two factors. The two terms that I explored were simply the contrast between "big" and "small."
Project 1b
The goal of this section of the project was to now create a composition that achieved a sense of depth and space. After starting to learn some more about After Effects in class, I simply played around and applied a repeater to a shape later and was able to create this simple but powerful piece.
Project 1c
For the last composition of the first project, we were challenged to create a short film with the knowledge we gained through previous assignments up until this point in class. Here, we introduced the usage of audio files and learned about the importance of it in order to create a sense of rhythm.
Project 2

For our second project, we were tasked to choose two contrasting words and create a composition that displays the feelings associated with said selected words. I chose the words "follow" and "lead" for this assignment and proceeded to play with the motion of the type. Here, I wanted to portray the words as if they were alive and had their own little lives.
Project 3
For our third project, the class was tasked with selecting an existing postage stamp and isolating the elements to create a gradual build-up to the final piece. I learned the importance of revealing certain details throughout the composition to tell a story here. The most important skill I gained from this project was maneuvering a one-node camera throughout my elements.
